How Do YOU Drink Your Milk?

Sippy, sippy!

My daughter asked for milk AND a straw today; how could I resist this face? Here she is flexing her muscles

After all, milk does a body good, right?! Especially when it's organic, freshly bottled, local and certainly hormone-free. We prefer to use whole milk and 2% in our household, since the omega-3 fats from grass-fed cows are really important for developing brains and bodies. Plus, the cream top is sooooo yummy! I like to add it to my oatmeal, or a smoothie, for bonus nutrients for the kiddies.

Most of our kids do not get enough of these delicate and essential fats so anywhere you can sneak them in, the better.

Great sources of omega 3's for your kids to balance out the omega 3:6 ratio:

  • Hemp seeds and chia seeds
  • Walnuts
  • Grass-fed butter, yogurt and milk products
  • Wild caught fish
  • Mung beans and other black beans
  • Winter squashes
  • Cabbage
  • Dark leafy greens

Bon appetit,
